          The IQAC of Progati College, Agomani has different cells for smooth conduct of quality education. Among these Academic Council is an important part.

Vision:

Improvement of quality education of Progati College, Agomani.

Mission:

1. To observe and survey the educational process of the college periodically.
2. To improve the quality and activities for academic excellence.
3. To implement the academic programme as per the regulation of the institution.

Power and function of Academic Council:

1. The academic council of this college exercises the general supervision over the academic work of the College.
2. The academic council gives direction regarding methods of instruction, evaluation, research, project preparation, field work report preparation etc.
3. The academic council exercises the procedure of admission
4. The academic council also provides best practices to improve academic system for the present and future students providing academic award, academic honour for academic excellences.

Objectivities :-

1. Prepares academic calendar and annual class routine.
2. Conducts periodic meeting.
3. Conducts admission procedure.
4. Monitors the faculty development activities.
5. Monitors the Internal examination.
6. Monitors the student welfare activities.
