About Scouts & Guides
As per G.B. Resolution No. 9, dated 31st May 2022 the college has introduced Scouts & Guides as co-curricular courses in the year 2022 and received permission from Hindustan Scout & Guides, organization of North East which is serving under the Ministry of Youth & Welfare, India. Mr. Meghnath Roy has been appointed as instructor and in the first session 235 students have been enrolled.
Purpose:
The purpose of Scouts & Guides is to contribute to mental, physical and spiritual development of the students. Through the activity of this curriculum the society enables the students to be active for Community Development, Social Service, Environment Preservation, Patriotism, Brother hood, Loyalty, Discipline, Leadership qualities etc.
Activities:
The students who are admitted in Scouts & Guides have joined several training camps organized by Hindustan Scouts & Guides of North East and different kinds of social service camps for training has been going on with the initiation of the students of Progati College, Agomani.
