Department of Political Science

DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

Department of Political Science was established along with the establishment of the College in 1991 and attained affiliation and permanent affiliation in 24-02-96 and 04-05-2016 respectfully. Honours/Major courses were introduced in 1994 to cater growing need for specialization and in-depth knowledge of the discipline. The Honours/Major got concurrence in 02-03-2001 by the State Govt., Assam. 

Objectives:

The main objectives of the Department of Political Science are to generate a keen interest in Students towards the Master Science of Polities and enable them to develop a rational mindset towards of Political Significance. It also aims to inculcate Political values of social justice, gender equality and social inclusion among the students. 

Vision:

The vision of the Department is to groom each and every Student as responsible Citizen, enrich the quality knowledge with a Commitment to Contribute positively for the Society they belong.
